Most full-service dog grooming appointments take 1-3 hours, depending on coat length, complexity of the haircut, and drying time. We will text you when your dog is finished, so there is no guesswork!
Absolutely. Our groomers will introduce puppies to the grooming process with plenty of praise and breaks. We use warm dryers and supportive mats to keep senior dogs comfortable during their grooming. If your dog needs special accommodation, please let us know and we’ll do our best to make them comfortable.
Yes. If your dog is anxious about going to the groomer, let us know. We can schedule them at a quieter time, take things slowly, and use positive reinforcement to help them see their time at The Bark Spot as a happy one. If your pup has certain triggers, like hating their paws touched or being sensitive about face grooming, let us know and we’ll work to tailor the experience.
Brushing your dog’s hair regularly is important, but we know matting happens! Light mats can often be brushed out for a de-matting fee. Severe matting may require a short comfort cut to avoid skin injury and infection. We will discuss options and pricing with you before we begin. If your dog is prone to matting, consider signing up for our VIPup Club to access unlimited monthly appointments so we can help you stay on top of it.
We keep a limited number of quick-clean spots open each day. Call early, and we’ll do our best to fit you in, but advanced booking is always advised. Our dog grooming appointment slots tend to fill quickly, especially around the holidays.
